Hunter Healthcare offers a bespoke advisory practice that works with organisations experiencing financial strain or performance failure. Our turnaround experts have built a reputation within healthcare consultancy that spans decades and have driven financial recovery programmes in some of the country’s largest healthcare bodies.

Our philosophy centres on our advisors’ detailed understanding of how NHS organisations function on a day-to-day basis, and their ability to work together with staff from board to ward. In today's austere climate, the ‘low-hanging fruit' in terms of cost savings have generally already been achieved, so further reductions and improvements have to be driven by transformational change and sustainable performance optimisation.

Our advisors will usually undertake a 10-day diagnostic exercise before presenting the client with a tailored solution that addresses the areas of most pressing concern. Once it has been signed off, a bespoke team will be built in conjunction with the client to ensure the swiftest and most effective implementation of the required changes.

Our advisors aim to engage with all stakeholders at board and senior management levels to achieve widespread buy-in and maintain clear communication channels. Our experience shows that turnaround has to be driven from within if it is to be sustainable; the knowledge transfer required happens best when the changes are owned by those who live them on a daily basis.

The cost of engagement is priced based on a total fee for the work, taking into consideration a blended skill mix of executive and management talent.
