Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Director of Strategy and Partnerships to join our executive team.

As a world-class centre of excellence for ophthalmic research and education and the leading provider and innovator of eye health services in the UK, our reputation is international. With more than 2,500 staff, across 21 network sites, we are proud to be supported by one of the most diverse workforces in the NHS.

This is an exciting time to join Moorfields. The pandemic fast-tracked a huge amount of innovation which is changing the way we work and deliver care. Construction is under way on Oriel, our new eye care, research, and education centre being built in Camden. The new centre will be flexible and modern, enabling us to bring together healthcare, eye research and education under one roof for the first time.

Our strategy, ‘Excellence, equity and kindness at the forefront of eye care’, brings together all aspects of our work across clinical care, research and education and applies to our NHS and commercial services in the UK and internationally. Our Director of Strategy and Partnerships will help to make this strategy a reality.

Reporting to the Chief Executive and working closely with the wider board, you will provide strategic leadership to the trust, and develop and connect plans across the trust to enable the delivery of the overarching organisational strategy. Collaborative working has never been more important, so you will build trusted relationships with partners and communities, ensuring that we realise shared ambitions and progressive transformational change can be achieved. You will also develop the trust’s approach to population health management and maximise the commercial reach of Moorfields’ offers.

This is a rare opportunity to build on the long history of Moorfields Eye Hospital and make a significant impact in eye care across London, the UK and internationally for our NHS and Private patients. A highly experienced senior manager, you will have a track record of leading and delivering complex change and strategy development programmes in the NHS or other public healthcare related industry. You will be a strong collaborator with an innovative mindset, and bring your ambition, insights and values to support our high-performing executive team.

If you feel aligned to our purpose, values and vision for the future and would relish the unique challenge this role offers, then we welcome your interest and application. For a confidential conversation, please contact Matt Simpson at Hunter Healthcare: / 07739 649 791.
