Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (EPUT) provides community health, mental health and learning disability services to support more than 3.2 million people living across Luton, Bedfordshire, Essex and Suffolk. The Trust is a large employer in the East of England region, with more than 6,000 staff working across more than 200 sites. We also provide services in people’s homes and in community settings.

We are now seeking a passionate NED who is energetic and curious and who will support us in our journey of improvement. You will play an active role in contributing to the execution of the Trust’s strategic plan, enhancing and diversifying the capabilities on our Board whilst making a positive difference to the lives of people served by the Trust. Prior Board experience is highly desirable; we may be particularly interested in hearing from candidates from a nursing or AHP background, or candidates with recent senior financial experience as an accountant or auditor.

We believe that the best boards are those that reflect the communities they serve and would particularly welcome applications from people from groups that are under-represented at Board level.
