Formed in October 2021, the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust (NCA) provides hospital and integrated health and social care services to over one million people living across Greater Manchester. Our 20,000 colleagues care for people in hospital and in the community, working across Bury, Rochdale, Oldham and Salford, to save and improve lives. Across our sites, we share knowledge, expertise, skills, and resources to provide the best care we can to the diverse residents in our region.
As a key part of the NCA, The Royal Oldham Hospital is a major hub for specialist and complex care. We are investing in state-of-the-art facilities, including the development of a new £28m endoscopy unit, ensuring we remain at the forefront of gastroenterology and endoscopic care. Our commitment to patient-centred care is reflected in our values: care, compassion, and clinical excellence. The role will involve some cross-site working at Fairfield General Hospital, Rochdale Infirmary.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Consultant in Gastroenterology to join our dynamic team at The Royal Oldham Hospital. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking, multidisciplinary department delivering high-quality inpatient and outpatient care. The role will include general gastroenterology services, endoscopy, and opportunities to develop a sub-specialist interest. With a strong emphasis on education and research, we offer an excellent platform for career progression and innovation in patient care.
We are looking for an experienced and motivated consultant who is committed to delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to service development. The ideal candidate will hold a CCT in Gastroenterology (or be within six months of obtaining it). Strong leadership skills, a collaborative approach, and a passion for continuous improvement will be essential in this role.
At NCA, we celebrate diversity and are dedicated to fostering an inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive. We are proud to champion equality and ensure that every team member feels valued, respected, and supported in their career journey. We welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds, particularly those from underrepresented groups.
