We have an extremely exciting opportunity to join our Trust as Chief Nurse & Director of Infection Prevention and Control (DIPC). We are seeking an exceptional nurse who has the energy and passion to make a sustainable and lasting difference to the large and diverse communities we serve.
Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust (SCFT) is the main provider of community NHS health and care across West Sussex, Brighton and Hove and the High Weald, Lewes and Havens area of East Sussex. We are proud to be rated as ‘Good’ overall by the Care Quality Commission with some ‘Outstanding’elements – highlighting our expert multidisciplinary team’s commitment to our community of 1.3 million people.
The Chief Nurse & DIPC post is a key member of our Trust Board, providing clinical and strategic leadership in the development of nursing, clinical psychologists and allied health professional standards. Our Chief Nurse & DIPC will provide strong, visible and professional leadership and ensure that patient safety, clinical governance and the delivery of high-quality care remain central to our strategic direction and decision-making.
We are looking to speak with candidates who have significant and recent experience at a senior level in a large complex organisation or system. A highly visible and politically astute leader, you will have a demonstrable track record of improving quality and safety, leading and developing clinical strategy as well as the ability to build and maintain strategic relationships. Importantly too, you will share our values and vision for excellent care at the heart of the community.
Our Trust recognises the importance of promoting equality and eliminating discrimination in all aspects of our operations, from recruitment and employment practices to patient care and service delivery. We especially welcome applications from candidates from the global majority, LGBTQ+ community, or those with lived experience of a disability, to strengthen the diversity of our Board so that it is representative of our team and the local population we serve.
