Non-Executive Director (x2) – Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust

Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust is the principal provider of community-based health services to the 1.2 million people in Hertfordshire, also providing services in West Essex. Rated Good by the CQC, the Trust plays a vital role in delivering high-quality, compassionate care closer to home.

Having successfully recruited to one Non-Executive Director post earlier this year, the Trust is now seeking to appoint two new Non-Executive Directors to join the Board to provide support, constructive challenge, oversight, scrutiny, leadership and strategic direction.

One role is focused on financial leadership and assurance, where an individual would have the skills and experience required to chair the Audit and Risk Committee. Prior experience of having worked at a senior and/or strategic level, either in an executive or non-executive capacity, for a large and complex organisation, irrespective of sector, is essential.

The second role is for a Non-Executive Director who will ideally chair our Strategy, Involvement and Planning Committee, and our Charitable Funds Committee. Board/strategic level experience in either the private, public or VCFSE sector will be beneficial as well as having a deep understanding of public health, population health, addressing inequalities and the broader EDI agenda.

For either role, additional experience in digital transformation, AI or data security might be beneficial.

A strong connection to Hertfordshire or the surrounding area is highly desirable.
