Impact & Solutions

Empowering quality and productivity.

Our experts diagnose the improvement and productivity opportunity and then deliver it. We use the knowledge gained through a people-first approach and our on-the-ground experience to address the critical priorities for health leaders. Principally, we work with you to strengthen the foundations of high-quality care: enduring financial health, effective digital transformation and impactful AI solutions.

Launched in 2023 alongside the core recruitment services on which Hunter was built, our Impact and Solutions division is dedicated to delivering expert, outcome-focused transformation across health and care. It brings together four complementary capabilities: Financial Recovery, Digital Transformation and AI delivery, together with Beacon, our new international hospital data collaborative. Each addresses the defining pressures facing modern health systems – financial sustainability, technological acceleration and operational productivity – and all are delivered through a single, consistent philosophy: embedded execution with measurable return.

We work alongside executive teams to stabilise performance, optimise systems and embed sustainable improvement. From financial recovery programmes that deliver demonstrable ROI without compromising patient safety, to digital transformation initiatives that prioritise adoption as much as design, to AI governance frameworks that move organisations from unmanaged experimentation to controlled deployment, and international performance comparison to empower thinking differently about the opportunities for change – our focus is always the same. Translate strategy into operational reality. Strengthen capability while delivering results and leave behind the tools, discipline and confidence required to sustain progress long after the engagement concludes.

The added value with Hunter’s approach is all about the workflows, not about the product. You get a lot of enthusiastic clinical and operational teams who are approached by vendors promising big returns on investment, so we need to show people the importance of thinking about the problem end-to-end before jumping into a particular solution.

There was a mix of enthusiasm, excitement, and healthy scepticism about AI across our organisation. Working with Hunter Healthcare enabled us to engage with that wide range of perspectives and bring the Trust to a place where we now have a clear and robust governance framework. This has given us the confidence and freedom to safely pilot innovative projects, rapidly develop and test new systems, and channel the energy and curiosity of our staff. As a result, we are far better positioned for the future widescale deployment of AI technologies across the Trust.

We chose Hunter primarily because they are AI agnostic. They worked with us to provide an unbiased viewpoint on how we can set a framework that would allow for proper testing of solutions that will be led by the patient and staff benefit. The feedback was unanimous that the clinicians found it extraordinarily refreshing and invigorating, because it changed the way they work by removing so much of their clinical admin time — it was hours saved every week.

Hunter supported [our Trust] to develop a clear, credible and deliverable Digital Strategy and Roadmap at a critical point in our transformation journey. They combined strong strategic thinking with a practical understanding of NHS realities, engaging widely across clinical, operational and digital teams to build genuine alignment. The outcome was a clear, outcome‑focused strategy with a robust, prioritised roadmap that is directly informing our investment decisions, EPR planning and delivery approach.
