Hugo joined Hunter in 2021 after two-and-a-half years on the graduate schemes of one of the world’s leading recruitment firms. His initial remit was to establish and grow Hunter’s services in HR, Workforce, and OD. Having quickly established himself as one of the NHS’s leading interim consultants, Hugo expanded Hunter’s offering into delivering complex change programmes, including mergers, integrations, restructures, new operating models, and temporary staffing optimisation cost-improvement programmes.
In September 2024, Hugo relocated to the US to research and build Hunter’s Healthcare search business, initially basing himself in Boston. After six months, it became clear that Nashville is the hub for US healthcare companies, prompting a strategic relocation. In September 2025, Hugo moved permanently to Bellevue, as Hunter continued to scale its US presence. His focus has been on building Director-to-C-suite teams for high-growth healthcare companies, particularly those with entrepreneurial mindsets and skillsets driving rapid expansion.
Outside of work, Hugo is an avid gamer (League of Legends), motorcyclist (currently riding a Royal Enfield Interceptor), and enjoys long walks with his greyhound, Otto.
