We at Gloucestershire Hospitals are dedicated in our Journey to Outstanding – improving the health, wellbeing and experience of the people we serve by delivering exceptional care every day. We’re now seeking a Director of Digital Operations (Chief Technology Officer; CTO) who shares our ambition.
We have had a challenging few years with the legacy of the pandemic coupled with staff and financial pressures, but we also have a lot to be very proud of. We have the best elective recovery across south west England, we are a good financial performer nationally, and have invested over £120m capital on new buildings, refurbishments and equipment to help us realise our vision to be a center for excellence. We’re committed to building upon the constructive staff survey results and ultimately provide a caring and supportive environment for all.
We have an exciting future ahead and we believe technology is a cornerstone of that journey. There has been a monumental shift in the way we deliver our services, with technology playing an increasingly pivotal role, and we want to ensure we’re at the forefront of that capability. Our Director of Digital Operations (CTO) will expertly navigate the technology landscape and offer clear direction to maximise the contribution our directorate can offer our organisation and system. Internally, you will be a key leader of the digital directorate and a true champion of your staff as we proudly create an inclusive culture where all feel seen, heard and valued.
We are looking for an ambitious, innovative and compassionate leader who can bring diversity of thought and experience to our lively team and wider organisation. You will empower colleagues to deliver to the best of their abilities and hold others accountable in our pursuit of being an inclusive, outstanding organisation. This is a wonderful opportunity to have a hugely positive impact on both the patients who use our services and the staff providing them.
We are committed to ensuring that we embrace and celebrate diversity as we strive to tackle inequalities both within the workforce and in our local communities. In recruiting to our Trust, we are committed to equality of opportunity for all, and we both encourage and welcome applications from people of all backgrounds.
