As a specialist function within Hunter Healthcare, the Digital Health Consultancy Practice combines deep healthcare expertise with practical knowledge of Al deployment, governance, and adoption strategies. From strategic planning through to delivery and optimisation, we ensure that Al initiatives are safe, effective, and aligned with the needs of clinicians, patients, and healthcare leaders.
As a Consultant within the Digital Healthcare Practice, you will play a central role in coordinating and delivering Al-focused projects across the healthcare sector. You will oversee project timelines, coordinate stakeholders, and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality outputs. This is a hands-on role, where you will work directly with clients and internal experts to scope Al requirements, and translate technical Al capabilities into practical, safe, and effective healthcare solutions. You will have demonstrable experience of working with Al technologies, whether in evaluation, deployment, or operational use, and a confident understanding of data as a strategic asset. You’ll gain exposure to cutting-edge Al applications in healthcare, from algorithm assessment and workflow integration to governance and change management, while contributing to the growth of our Al Advisory capability.
Key Accountabilities
Client Delivery

Project Management: Support the delivery, and monitoring of Al Advisory projects, ensuring outputs are delivered on time, within scope, and to a high standard.

Al Solution Evaluation: Assess the readiness, safety, and effectiveness of Al technologies using structured evaluation frameworks and sector best practice.

Governance & Compliance: Ensure Al projects meet ethical, regulatory, and information governance standards, working closely with clinical and technical leads.

Stakeholder Engagement: Support the facilitation of workshops, interviews, and demonstrations with clinicians, operational teams to ensure Al adoption meets user needs.

Change Management: Support the design and delivery of change strategies to embed Al tools into existing workflows and clinical practice.

Deliverable Creation: Produce professional project deliverables including presentations, business cases, risk registers, and benefit realisation reports.
Client Management

Represent the consultancy in day-to-day client interactions, maintaining a professional and collaborative approach.

Assist in proposal writing and preparation by researching relevant content or data.

Develop an understanding of client priorities and contribute to positive working relationships.

Participate in meetings, note actions and decisions, and ensure timely follow-up on assigned responsibilities.

Proactively identify opportunities to add value through Al use cases or process improvements
Growth & Practice Development

Contribute to internal knowledge development, including methodologies, use cases, or insight gathering.

Take part in initiatives that support Hunter’s growth, such as thought leadership, case study development, or events.
Team Contribution

Work closely with the Associate Director and Exec Service Lead (Al Advisory) to ensure alignment of project priorities and delivery standards.

Engage with internal communities of practice and knowledge-sharing sessions.
Person Specification
-
2-3 years’ experience in Digital, or Management Practice within healthcare. NHS experience is an advantage.

Demonstrated ‘hands-on’ experience, working with Al technologies.

Comfortable working with datasets and understanding model outputs.

Demonstrated knowledge of the role of Al in healthcare service improvement initiatives.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a willingness to engage with clients and colleagues.

Analytical and structured thinker, with attention to detail and a proactive attitude.

Adaptable and organised, able to manage tasks across multiple priorities and projects.
-
Degree-qualified (2:1 or above preferred) in a relevant discipline.

Willingness to travel for client delivery, collaboration with colleagues, and company events as required.
