Deputy Chief Digital Officer (Acute) – Our Dorset

As Dorset drive forward an ambitious digital transformation programme aligned to both national priorities and local patient needs, this role will be key to delivering improvements that truly matter – enhancing care, empowering staff, and strengthening our digital foundations across Dorset and beyond.

With the ongoing implementation of a new integrated Electronic Patient Record (EPR) across Dorset and into Somerset, the next phase of the digital journey will support improved clinical outcomes, safer care, and a more seamless experience for patients and clinicians alike. As Deputy CDIO, you will play a central role in making this happen – supporting digital maturity, promoting interoperability, and championing data-driven decision-making across the system.

Collaboration is at the heart of our success. Working within a progressive Integrated Care System (ICS), they are embracing the national Frontline Digitisation agenda and working toward a more connected and efficient digital ecosystem. You will work closely with internal teams, partner organisations, and national bodies to help ensure our digital capabilities meet the evolving needs of modern healthcare.

Dorset are looking for two values-driven digital leaders – with strong operational and strategic acumen, a deep understanding of digital technologies in a healthcare context, and a genuine passion for improving care through innovation.
