Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest trusts in the NHS, split across three main sites and multiple community sites. We have an ambition to be one of the best. As part of the government’s New Hospital Programme (NHP), Frimley is set to benefit from this once-in-a-generation programme to fundamentally build and transform a new state of the art Frimley Park Hospital and ensure we continue to provide care in a safe, reliable, and modern environment. By modernising our estate, the programme will support and transform local healthcare in the future for the community incorporating cutting-edge digital technology, and improving healthcare quality for our population, creating a more sustainable healthcare environment. We are now seeking a NHP Digital Director who shares our ambition.

As the Digital Director you will be in a key leadership role within the digital programme team. Acting as the Deputy Chief Information Officer for the trust will be part of this role. You will work alongside the Programme Director, clinical and operational leads to steer the digital transformation agenda to support the design of the new Frimley Park Hospital. Developing innovative digital strategies that utilise technology and data driven insights in line with Hospital 2.0. You will be required to conduct a SWOT analysis of the current digital infrastructure and develop a Target Operating Model to support the new hospital, all whilst ensuring compliance with IT governance frameworks and regulatory requirements governing data privacy and security.

This is an incredible opportunity to be involved in and lead innovative digital transformation in healthcare and support the progression of the new Frimley Park Hospital. Ideally you will have a strong background in advising healthcare organisations, such as the NHS, on digital strategy, leading complex digital transformations, and managing associated risks. Effective leadership and program management skills are essential for this role to successfully drive change and turn strategic goals into practical initiatives. You must also demonstrate an understanding of healthcare IT systems, cybersecurity, national health policies, and change management principles, along with excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities. You should also be comfortable managing multiple projects independently, building effective stakeholder relationships, and adapting to a dynamic environment.

We are committed to ensuring that Frimley embraces and celebrates diversity as we strive to tackle inequalities both within the workforce and in our local communities. In recruiting to our Trust, we are committed to equality of opportunity for all, and we both encourage and welcome applications from people of all backgrounds.
