We are seeking an experienced, dynamic and high-calibre individual to strategically lead one of the largest Group models in the NHS. With a budget of circa £1.2bn, North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust and South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust have high ambitions and are committed to delivering more together for the populations we serve.

The Group Chief Strategy Officer will be critical to the success of our Group model, providing strategic leadership, engaging stakeholders in shaping the Group’s vision and future direction and development of services, to ensure the benefits of the collaboration are realised in practice. The Group Chief Strategy Officer will provide visible and inspirational leadership and build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and strategic partners across the wider health and social care system.

Our Group will require focus on the development of a culture that will build alliances across any perceived organisational boundaries, creating a single set of values and behaviours that deliver improved patient care and staff experience. Our Group Chief Strategy Officer will be pivotal in fostering that culture and articulating our vision, mission, values, and the underpinning behaviours needed for the group to help us deliver our shared ambitions.

The ideal candidate will have significant and recent experience at executive level in a large complex organisation or system. A highly visible and politically astute leader, you will have a demonstrable track record of developing and implementing strategies, leading large-scale transformational change as well as the ability to build and maintain strategic relationships. Importantly, too, you will share our values and passion for the highest quality clinical care.

We strongly encourage applications from all sections of the community, particularly from under-represented groups, including disabled people and members of our black, Asian and minority ethnic communities to improve the diversity of experience within our senior leadership team.
