Our Hospitals Charity enhances care and the hospital environment for South Tees patients across Teesside and North Yorkshire. The funds we raise are used to provide a welcoming space with the latest in high tech, modern equipment and comforts that everyone can benefit from. Our work improves the health and wellbeing of more than one million patients, carers, visitors and staff across all our sites and community services, and we are now seeking an inspirational Head of Charities who will help maximise its impact over time and the contribution it is able to make. Against this backdrop, there is no better time to join us.

As Head of Charities, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining the Charity’s Strategy, including its fundraising plan. You will lead the Charity’s fundraising activities, working with colleagues and partners in the Trust and the voluntary sector, including the Friends of the Friarage. You will be responsible for ensuring the Charity provides a proactive and responsive service to support and advise fund holders, fundraisers and the general public, whilst effectively managing all charitable funds donated and raised for the benefit of Trust.

The ideal candidate will have experience of managing fundraising plans and Charity strategies. A highly visible and dynamic leader, you will have a demonstrable track record of developing effective and collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Importantly, too, you will share our values and passion for the highest quality clinical care.

We strongly encourage applications from all sections of the community, particularly from under-represented groups, including disabled people and members of our black, Asian and minority ethnic communities to improve the diversity of experience of our senior leadership team.
