Non-Executive Directors (x2) – Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust

Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (BCHC) provides community health services for the 1.1 million population of Birmingham and also a range of specialist rehabilitation and dental services for 6.5 million people across the wider West Midlands region.

Delivering more than 100 different NHS services for people of all ages, BCHC is committed to delivering the best possible service for its communities and helping to build healthy communities. Working in an integrated style with a range of partner organisations across health and social care, the Trust works across a range of locations, including people’s own homes, community clinics and hospital settings.

We are now looking to recruit two Non-Executive Directors to provide appropriate oversight, governance and leadership to the Trust, scrutinising performance and providing support, challenge and advice. As members of the Unitary Board, you will take individual and collective responsibility for the strategy and overall success of the Trust, ensuring financial and clinical quality controls and systems of risk management are robust.

We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates from a clinical background, possibly AHP professionals, and those who have held a senior role in academia, local government or the voluntary sector. Prior Board experience, together with strong governance skills and experience of effective partnership working, are highly desirable.
